Within man lies a deep wondrous spot, to which neither virtue nor vice can reach. Upon which the sun of reason and will never rise. In which the mouth of logic never speaks, the laws and rules are never obeyed, and not a language is used nor a word is ever spoken.
It is a distant Kingdom, beyond words and meanings. With everything is a sheer murmur offering wonders in a blink. From the depths of which, suffice a single tone or a flash of mind or a scent of a perfum, to allow rise of emotions, pictures and memories, a rising that will shake our being and open ourselves to things we can neither describe nor materialize even if we used the most refined of phrases or the most skillful of languages.

A question

I mean really, can a person get less intelligent/more stupid over time ?

One reason could be that some people, even smart ones BTW, stop using their brain cells as a part of the green brain and energy saving initiatives :)
Another one, when people stop acting as humans and become more and more like animals who care only about food, water, and safe place to stay in.
And a last one, when you are surrounded by repetitions of repetitions "quoting your nice former post" :)

Ok meshmesha :) I think no. 1 would be the repetition, no. 2 is the energy saving , and 3. is what i would call "elimination of brain" which is what u described as animal traits .
I think it's an answer, somehow satesfying, but maybe not enough for me.
But here is a second question, Can a person restore his lost intelligence ?
